Product Spotlight } Baby Gaia Bath & Body for Babies

What products do you need to care for your baby's skin? Our babies are beautiful and so precious but they are all different and have different needs. Some have dry, flaky skin, others have chubby little fat roles you just want to squeeze while some encounter irritation and nappy rash that needs comfort or soothing or you may simply want a quality product to massage your baby. One thing that all babies need is a range of products that are non-irritating and gentle, moisturising and softening.

GAIA Natural Baby takes into consideration that a baby's skin is thinner than that of an adult, more sensitive and does not develop normal barrier functions when they are born. There are no artificial fragrances, soap, sulphates, petrochemicals, mineral oils, lanolin, paraben preservatives, propylene glycol or phthalates used in any of baby Gaia products.

Product Spotlight - Nummies Bras

Cute, Stylish, and Comfy - All of the things we definitely want in a bra. But as a Breastfeeding Mom, they are even that more important. So we wanted to introduce you to Nummies Bras.

Alison, who came up with Nummies Bras writes on her website: " When I became a mom, I looked for nursing bras that had function and beauty, that made me feel and look my best, but I just couldn’t find them....I believe that women who breastfeed their children are beautiful. Nummies bras ... are made to accentuate your body and lighten your spirit. Now you don’t have to give up your sense of style simply because you are nursing."

The nursing bra for the modern mom - Molded cups, No wires and Seam free. Perfect for under your t-shirts and blouses. The bras are perfect for pregnancy, right after baby comes and for as long as you are nursing.

As comfortable as it is beautiful - You won’t believe it’s a nursing bra!

Starting at $49.99 Nummies are available in-store at Dear-Born Baby (72 Doncaster Avenue, Thornhill, ON)

Product Spotlight - Miracle Blanket

Let us introduce you to another product that is a staple for a new arrival. It's called "The Miracle Blanket" and is favoured by many Moms + Dads for it's ease of use, and positive effect it has on our little ones.

We were reading new Mom, Joanna Track's blog over at SweetMama.ca and loved her words on how to describe one of her favourite baby products for baby - "The Miracle Blanket"

"Think of it as swaddling for dummies. The nurses at the hospital make swaddling look so easy, but it isn't. We gave Teddy the nickname "Houdini" because he always managed to get himself out of even the tightest swaddle. But with the Miracle Blanket there is no escaping, and he sleeps better because of it." -Joanna Track, via SweetMama.ca

To show you how it works, here is a really great video we found from 3Kidsandus.com where they review great products.

At 2:45 into the video the review ends, but you get to watch cute little Emma chatter away. ;) (So other than watching a cute baby, the review ends at 2:45 - just warning you)

Visit MiracleBlanket.com to read some testimonials from medical professionals, and see some step-by-step instructions on how this blanket is super-easy to use.

Available at Dear-Born Baby either in-store, or online.

Product Spotlight - Diaper Genie II

On the heel of our last post - our October Giveaway, this product spotlight seemed perfect! If you haven't seen this before, you will want to take note, this is one popular item on our gift registries!

How it works:
Diaper Genie II System is incredibly easy to use with its one-hand operation. (important when parents are holding a child and trying to throw away a diaper at the same time!) Just open the lid, and push a diaper through the Push-N-Lock clamp and odor virtually disappears.

Getting rid of the contents:
The internal childproof cutter makes emptying the pail a breeze. Just cut and seal – The odor free refill keeps odor and mess inside. No ordinary garbage bag can do that. And, with Diaper Genie II System, when you go to empty it, the bag of diapers is sealed to protect against odors. Other pails open to reveal an open bag and a big whiff. And since the diaper never touches the pail, there’s one less thing for you to clean.

Summary:
It's awesome. Odor free, eliminates the use of the hands, unobtrusive design, hygenic. So, No smells, No major clean up. There is a reason why this diaper pail is one of the favourites of new Moms. Definitely add a Diaper Genie II to your gift registry, or just grab one for yourself.
